What happens in the first session?
When you come to clinic for the first time, I’ll ask you about your medical history, any sports or activities you do, and any past injuries, as well as your reasons for coming to see me. I will then assess you physically. Together, we’ll put together a plan for your treatment, including physio sessions with me and exercises or activities that you’ll do in your own time.
Communication is a big part of getting better; I’ll listen carefully to what you tell me and make sure I understand your situation too. If you’re used to being very active, I’ll try and get you back to your usual self as soon as possible. If you have trouble moving, I can help you become more energetic and flexible.
We’ll review your progress regularly, by phone, text, email or another appointment, to make sure we’re moving in the right direction.
