Clinical Pilates teaching

Pilates is a mind and body exercise regime. Developed in 1880 by Joseph Pilates, it’s been modified in various ways over the years. Clinical Pilates is used in rehabilitation: it takes into account injuries, pain and other factors.

Your session will be one-to-one. I’ll draw on my professional understanding to assess your needs and choose the exercises that are right for you. Then I’ll produce an individually tailored exercise programme which you can follow at home.

Clinical Pilates can be done on the floor using mats or using equipment. I have a reformer/ trapeze table in the clinic – a fantastic piece of equipment that will help you with exercises and provide resistance where it’s needed.

After your first appointment, you can continue with a course of sessions, or come in for a single follow-up just to check you’re doing things correctly.
